St. Louis Writer's Guild Short Story Contest

Since the St. Louis Writers Guild's founding in 1920, the organization has sponsored an annual short-story contest, making it one of the oldest writing contests in the country.

Submissions for the 2011 contest are received from October 1 - December 1, 2011. The entry fee is $15 per manuscript, $10 for an additional entry, limit 2 entries per person. The word count is 3,000 words or less.

Submit 2 copies of story, mailed together in one envelope. One typed cover page must be paper-clipped to the top page of both manuscript copies indicating the story's title, author's name, address, telephone number, e-mail address if available, and the total word count.

All submissions are required to be MAILED, using the United States Postal Service. Mail entry to:
