Stella Kupferberg Memorial Short Story Contest

Enter the 2012 Stella Kupferberg Memorial Short Story Contest for a chance to have your work read at a Selected Shorts performance on June 6, 2012. The winner will also receive $1,000 and a free 10-week creative writing class with Gotham Writers Workshop.

Story Requirements
Submit a single, short story that centers around a single object or addresses the theme "Objects of Desire." If objects could talk, what stories would they tell. Tell your story in 600 words or less.
Your story must have a title.
Your story must be unpublished.

Deadline
March 2, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Entry Fee
Every submission must include a $25 entry fee. You may pay by credit card, or by check made payable to Gotham Writers' Workshop. Entries may be mailed to:

Format
Make sure your name and contact information appears on every page of your story. If you are submitting online, this information needs to appear on every page of the attached Word document. Include page numbers.

The winner will be selected by Judge Maile Meloy and notified in early May.
