Wag's Revue Contest

Wag's Revue is an online-only literary quarterly of poetry, essays, fiction, and interviews. The Revue holds two annual contests - the Winter Contest from December through February and the Summer Contest from June through August.

Currently, Wag's Revue is accepting submissions for its Winter Writers Contest in fiction, poetry, and essays. First prize is $1,000 and publication in issue 13 of the Wag's Revue. Second prize is $500 and third prize is $100. Prizes are for each category of poetry, fiction, or essay. All submissions are considered for publication. The contest deadline is February 29, 2012.

Please read the contest guidelines carefully before submitting. The editors strongly encourage authors to familiarize themselves with the magazine by reading past issues. Word count is limited to 10,000 words.

Each entry must be accompanied by a $20 reading fee, paid via PayPal, plus the .94 credit card fee and $1.15 Submishmash charges for a total of $22.09. Authors are welcome to submit more than once to the contest, but each entry must be paid for separately.

Wag's Revue asks for first serial rights to all published work; all other rights revert to the author upon publication. Submissions must be previously unpublished. Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but please notify us at editors@wagsrevue.com if your work is accepted elsewhere.

Author biographies should be kept brief and are not required. Contest judging is blind, so please do not include contact or biographical information on the entry itself.
